On this episode of Make It Kustom I’m fabricating a wire form buck that will help shape my template for the transmission tunnel and distributor cove on the 1931 Model A roadster. Using a MIG welder, 1/8″ filler wire and some finger strength, I cover step by step how to make a wire form/ buck for metal shaping. The wire form is a great way to make even the most complicated shape patterns at home with simple tools. Unlike some wooden bucks, it’s easy to see through the form underneath to check the progress of your panel.
